Multi-venue booking platform + smart automation

TAB The AirBoxA private theatre that runs itself.

A premium private theatre brand - 4K projection, Dolby sound and recliner seating, booked by the hour for movies, live sport, OTT streaming and celebrations. The first venue runs with zero staff on site, and the platform now carries a growing roster of rooms, each with its own capacity, pricing and availability, plus an admin console the operator runs the whole business from.

Mobile

The same product, built for a phone - not shrunk onto one.

Shipped to the App Store and Play Store, with push, OTP and payment flows tuned for how people actually use the product on the move.

The problem

What made it hard

A hospitality venue with no staff has nowhere to hide. Every slot has to be sold, paid for, confirmed and physically prepared without a human in the loop - and if a projector fails to wake or a payment webhook is missed, a guest is standing at a locked door.

Our role

  • Product architecture
  • Backend and web
  • iOS and Android apps
  • IoT automation
  • Growth infrastructure

The approach

How we solved it

  1. 01

A slot-based booking engine with hold, payment and confirmation as distinct states, so an abandoned checkout never blocks a paying guest - hourly and full-venue bookings, priced per room.

  2. 02

A multi-venue model from the start: each room carries its own seat count, location, price band and availability calendar, so opening the next venue is configuration rather than a rebuild.

  3. 03

An operator console covering bookings, entry codes, cancellations and revenue, with status counts (pending, confirmed, completed, cancelled, OTP needed) on one screen so the business runs without anyone opening a database.

  4. 04

Razorpay for payments with idempotent webhook handling, and multi-channel confirmations over WhatsApp, SMS and email through MSG91 and Twilio.

  5. 05

A scheduled control sequence that runs before and after every booking: air conditioning, projector, audio receiver, lighting and access, sequenced with verification between steps.

  6. 06

Device control through the Tuya Open API, driving an IR blaster and 16A smart switches from the Spring Boot backend rather than a phone app.

  7. 07

Privacy-first occupancy sensing - no cameras anywhere. Motion, sound level and smart-plug power draw are enough to confirm the room is in the state it should be.

  8. 08

Meta advertising infrastructure connected to the booking funnel, with hyperlocal campaigns targeting a 1-3 km radius around the venue.
